An Enduring Thanks

As you sit around the table with the turkey and pumpkin pie you will be thinking about all you are thankful for.  Many of those on the list will be around the table with you.  It is the time of year we think about all that God has blessed us with.  As long as the list may be, it is also a day that shows how much has changed.  It is a time to miss those who are no longer around the table.  It can also be a stressful time with the financial strain of the holiday season with all of its expectations.  It is in those times you must be sure to remember the greatest reason to be thankful.  We have a God who loves us unconditionally.  His love endures.  He loved us enough to send his only son to die on the cross in our place.  No matter the change around you, he has not changed. He has done and continues to do for us more than we could ever hope or imagine.

Psalm 106:1-2
Praise the Lord
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord
or declare all his praise?
