A Path to Reopen
Could there be a little light at the end of the tunnel? Oklahoma is preparing to open. Many cities are following suit. Oklahoma looks to phase out restrictions
beginning May 1 while Bartlesville is currently scheduled to begin phasing out
on May 4. After meetings with deacons
and the Ministry Leadership Team, we are planning to have on campus worship beginning
May 10. We will be taking every possible
precaution for those ready to take a step back into public life.
A few things to keep in mind. This date could change based upon what the
city decides at their next City Council Meeting. If we offer in-person worship on May 10 it
will have limitations. We will be
blocking off every other row and will have a maximum capacity for the room
which is still being determined. We will
not have nursery and Worship Kids until at least the first Sunday in June. We will have hand sanitizing stations set up
and the restrooms will be for emergency only.
We will do everything we can to have a safe facility.
We understand that not everyone will be comfortable, nor
should everyone immediately jump back into worship. We recommend senior adults to stay home until
Oklahoma initiates stage 2 or stage 3.
If you are high risk, please stay home.
We will continue to stream our services.
Please be smart.
Moving forward we need your help. You will see a survey coming out soon that we
will use to help determine the steps we take adding other ministries. We will be asking questions concerning parent’s
comfort for using nursery and when volunteers will be comfortable to start
working again as well as other important information to help us in the next few
months. Please take the time to answer
these questions. We do not want to rush
volunteers to take steps they are not comfortable with. However, we need to have an idea of these concerns
so we can plan accordingly.
Though we can see the light, the tunnel’s end is not
clear. We will continue to do what is
necessary to keep you safe and offer the worship and discipleship opportunities
that God desires for us. If you need anything,
please call us. We are here to serve you
in any way possible. This trying time
will be behind us soon. I cannot wait to
see you and hear of all God has done in your life while we were apart.
