Great Day!

What a great day of worship we had on Sunday as we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Easter Sunday is a day you go home from worship with joy in your heart. We had numerous guests with us and young lady gave her life to Christ. The worship service consisting of participants from Laleo, AWANA, and the adult choir did a great job of communicating the message of the death and resurrection of Christ. William Harrison, as always, took us to the throne of grace in worship. Thank you to all who made our Easter celebration a great success.

With Easter now behind us, we can continue to move forward as we seek God’s vision for us our church. This Sunday will be the third and final church summit. At this summit, you will receive the proposed mission and vision statements as the Re-visioning Team has compiled them. We will discuss the proposal as well as figure out how we will accomplish the vision. As great as a vision statement is in helping us to accomplish God’s will for our church, it is useless if we do not have a plan to accomplish it. The format will be very similar to the last two summits, as we discover the values we need to accomplish the vision as well as the best way to organize to get us to the end result. I look forward to having you with us this Sunday afternoon.

On a different note, I want to thank you. It was a year ago, April 25, that you called me to be your pastor. It is my joy to serve you and as I look back at the last year, I know God has used our union to do great things for his Kingdom. I look forward to the future and what God will accomplish through Eastern Heights for His glory. “To God be the glory, great things He has done!”
