Jordan's Wedding

When God called us to Eastern Heights our daughter, Jordan, was still an awkward pre-teen.  She was preparing to start eighth grade in a new school where there were more students in her grade than the whole school system in which she was leaving.  We had lots of concerns as she transitioned during a difficult and important time of life.  Thanks to the amazing families of Eastern Heights, her transition (as all of our family’s) was a time that made her stronger and drew her closer to Christ.  She found peers and adults that poured into her as she blossomed into the young lady she is today.

Jordan’s high school years found new challenges as she struggled with Lyme Disease.  As many of you know, these were some of the hardest years for our whole family.  We watched her struggle physically, emotionally and academically.  The prayers, encouragement and constant support from Eastern Heights is one of the big reasons we thrived through it and Jordan graduated high school ready for a new challenge at Oklahoma Baptist University.

Each of you have been an important part of her journey.  On March 17, 2:00 PM, here at Eastern Heights, Jordan will be marrying a godly young man named Nate Shipman.  Nate just graduated from OBU with a degree in Bible and a minor in music.  We could not be more excited about having Nate join our family.  Please pray for them as they start this life together.

We want to invite all of you to come and celebrate this special occasion with us.  All we ask of you is to let us know you are coming by March 1.  You can RSVP by going to www.theknot.com/us/jordanandnatesetadate, email us at soonerpastor@me.com or fill out a card that can be found on the tables as you exit the worship center.  The cards can be handed to us or given to the office.
