Great Start
We survived our first Sunday of social distancing. It was very encouraging to see so many join
us live as we worshiped together. It is
not what we would prefer but we are making the most of a difficult time. We are working hard to stay connected with
you and keep you informed of things happening in the church. We may be stuck inside, but God is still
working around us. Be encouraged. God is on his throne.
Sunday, we had around 96 live feeds between our two social
media streams. It is hard to know how
many people were watching from each device, but it is safe to say that we had more
than normal joining us for worship. On
top of that our Facebook feed had over 1200 views after the service. The name of Jesus and the Good News of Jesus
Christ was spread. What our enemy meant
for harm; God used for good.
Here is what we can do better. Invite your friends and family to join you
for worship. It is an opportunity for
you to attend church with those who you normally are not able to be with because
of distance. If you are watching it on Facebook,
share the service as soon as it goes live.
Comment and tag people in the comment section. Facebook uses algorithms to determine how
many people can see a live feed. The
more interaction a feed is getting the more people will see it. Ask questions.
Say “hi” to each other. If you are watching on the YouTube channel,
use the comment section in a similar way.
There is an icon for you to share the feed through social media as
well. The more people we can engage
through the feed the more people who will be exposed to the hope that is found
in Jesus Christ.
Because of Governor Stitt’s new declaration, our office will
be closed for the prescribed 21 days. We
will be working from home and should not have to skip a beat in our ministry
and communication with you. If you call
the church number, it will be forwarded to us and we will help in any way that
we can. If you just want to talk, give
us a call. If you have a need or know of
someone who has a need, please do not hesitate to call.
Life Groups and other small group ministries continue. If you are having trouble connecting with your
Life Group, please let us know ASAP. We
will have a Wednesday night prayer time at 7:00 through Zoom. The link for that is found in your e-Vision
and will be sent out through Facebook as well.
We have people willing to help you get set up so you can be part of
these meetings as well as Sunday worship time.
Please call us and we will get you set up and participating. Even if you do not have a smartphone or
internet there are ways to let you listen in.
We just need to know your need.
Please continue to be faithful with your giving. You can give by using your bank’s bill pay
feature, use your credit/debit card at www.ehbc.net,
or mail your checks to 1331 Swan Dr., Bartlesville, OK 74006.
Thank you for your prayers during this time. Be assured that we are praying for each of
you and working hard to continue to minister to you. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please
let us know. Call 918-333-2181, email pastor@ehbc.net, or fill out a form at www.ehbc.net/requests. The deacon prayer line is also available at
